has openings for Community Disability Workers to provide support to individuals in care, both in residence and in the community.
The successful candidates will support individuals with plans for emotional, behavioural and physical care.
 Qualifications include preference for grade 12 and one year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Applicants that have had training in medication administration, First Aid/CPR certification and restrictive procedures will be provided additional consideration however WJS is also willing to provide training for the right individuals.
The successful candidate must also complete Criminal Record and Child Welfare system checks and possess a valid driver’s license.

Disability Support Worker (Head Programmer) ($17.00 to $20.00/ hour)

We are looking for a Head Programmer to join our team of caregivers providing services to persons with developmental disabilities. Working with program participants, you will assist in the development of Individual Program Plans. You will have a Degree in Rehabilitation studies and an extensive knowledge of the different funding bodies and the program development requirements of each.  Working in a (residential/ vocational) setting, you will assist to provide excellent client focused care, and support individual independence in the community by using your strong communication skills. Residential Supervisor Position ($17.00 to $20.00/ hour)

We are looking for a Supervisor to coach and mentor our team of caregivers providing services to persons with developmental disabilities. Working in a (residential) setting, you set the example for your staff by demonstrating excellent client focused care, developing a solid working relationship with guardians and supporting individual independence in the community.
While working in a unique and often challenging environment, you use your training and experience to assist both clients and staff be comfortable with your leadership style. You are fair and flexible with a strong leadership style. Your related diploma and experience make you the ideal candidate for this challenging position.
