Barrhead is located 117 km from Edmonton, which is only a 75-minute drive away. This town has all of the desirable qualities of a welcoming rural community with many of the benefits found only in larger centers. Situated at the intersection of two primary highways and three secondary highways, Barrhead is a regional trade centre for a population of over 20,000 people. The community boasts the best agriculture regions within the province and is very active in the natural gas, oil, and forestry sectors. The town has a population of 5,768 and is considered to be an excellent place to raise a family. Classified as a safe and affordable community, it boasts over 500 businesses, but the main attraction in Barrhead is it’s beautiful lakes and wilderness.
