Mr. Richard Geib's "The
American Experience" is password protected. In this
section of Mr. Geib's professional website are many year's worth of work
designed to help Advanced Placement students pass their requisite
end-of-year exams. Mr. Geib does not necessarily want to make all
this information available to the entire world. Mr. Geib
password protected this site in 2004 after his website came up in Google
searches with alarming frequency, and after he saw evidence of very
large Internet traffic perusing his "American Experience"
area. A password keeps out the web bots and indexing spiders from search
engines, among other unwelcome nuisances. Nobody needs more "spam"
e-mail, after all!
But if you are a
student who has a genuine desire to learn, then that is another matter.
If you are a prospective "American Experience" student
at FTHS or the parent of one checking out the course, by all means come
on in and look around. If you are a teacher who is looking for information, lesson plans, or
projects, then you are most welcome. E-mail
me explaining your intentions in regards to this website and I might
very well send you the log-in and password information. (A funny
joke or a few words of wisdom might also help!) But if you are looking
to get information for your own or your company's financial profit, then
please look elsewhere. If your intentions are not about learning or
freely spreading the light of knowledge, then you are in the wrong
place. If you want to try to sell Mr. Geib something, please spare Mr. Geib the
annoyance.
